This list gives a look at the worst horror movies have to offer!

Horror movies are renowned for their creativity, cliché’s and unforgettable killers. Unfortunately, some horror movies try a little too hard and wind up having a killer that is unrealistic, corny, or just plain silly. While the respective films are still worth watching, their trademark killers deserve a list: the Top 10 Worst Horror movie Villains!

10. Maniac Cop (Maniac Cop-1988)

It seems that cops have just way too much power these days. But back in 1988, they were able to walk around on the streets and strangle people. I guess it is a good thing for maniac cop that Charles Bronson wasn’t around.

9. Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th-1980)

Often mistaken for a horror legend, Jason should be viewed as more of a joke in the horror community. The former tortured child turned zombie consistently kills without reason and becomes increasingly unrealistic as the series progresses.

8. Santa Clause (Santa’s Slay-2005)

The idea of Santa Clause being a menace to society is not new. But watching professional wrestler Goldberg don the red suit and while beating children to death with a hammer is laughable. (Did I mention his rocket launching sleigh?)

7. The Mangler (The Mangler-1995)

A possessed laundry folding machine brings havoc to the world! Nothing more needs to be said.

6. Gingerdead Man (The Gingerdead Man-2005)

A movie is bad enough if it has Gary Bussey in it. But Bussey as a wise cracking, ex-con turned delicious pastry? Sure the movie is funny, but I am glad the Gingerdead man didn’t come across a fat kid in the beginning of the movie.

5. The Fang Lady (The Fangly’s-2004)

The Fang Lady sounds like a werewolf/human hybrid. But, in actuality, she is the poor attempt at the wicked witch of West Texas. Her claim to fame is waiting on an old dirt road and sucking the souls out of teens as they make out. To this day, she has claimed 4 souls…

4. Elite Hunting (Hostel-2005)

Although the international society of human hunters did ruin the idea of backpacking throughout Europe for a lot of people, they just don’t garner any real attention in the horror community. Take away the flashy deaths, and you just have fat European guys with funky accents. It just doesn’t count when you are killing someone who is already tied down, sedated, and has the personality of a raisin.

3. Jack Frost (Jack Frost-1996)

Another winter, cautionary tale (like Gingerdead Man, and Santa Slay), Jack Frost (not the Michael Keaton version) is a criminal trapped in the body of a snowman. And I know what you are thinking, just plug in a hair dryer and call it a day, right…right?

2. Lawn Mower Man (Lawn Mower Man-1992)

Everyone knows that doing experiments on the retarded gardener will turn out bad. Well, for Jobe, learning through the forced virtual reality infrastructure turns out to be a murderous occasion. But honestly, the killer is just a retarded gardener who spends his time in virtual reality before deciding to kill everyone that made fun of him. No, I am serious, that is the plot.

1. Monsturd (Monsturd-2003)

It seems that there is a common recipe for all of these villains: take an ex-con, mix him with some rambunctious, toxic materials, and let the killing begin. This time, the serial killer is trapped in a sewer and turned into a giant, murderous piece of poo.

I have to disagree with #4 as I found the idea of a shadow group of well-to-do folks bidding on human beings to maim, torture and kill very creepy. It's a modern take on the scary psychopathic killer routine familiar to horror fans and serves as effective commentary on how "modern" society really is if there are still people who will buy a human being to use as they wish.
Hostel II is a great sequel as well as it takes the Elite Hunting group to the next logical evolution using modern technology like cellphones for the human bidding war.
